In accordance with Regulation 10 of the control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and in supporting the ACoP and guidance in L143 it is a legal requirement that all who may come across asbestos in their day to day work have been provided with asbestos awareness training.
If they will intentionally work on asbestos they must have had appropriate training specific to the tasks they will undertake as defined by the HSE’s Asbestos Essentials task sheets.
ABOUT THE COURSE
This training course is for those workers who plan to carry out any work with asbestos that does not require a licence and who may knowingly disturb lower risk asbestos containing materials. By the end of the course delegates should have an awareness and development of knowledge of the risks posed to health from the contact with asbestos materials in their everyday working life, and will be able to carry out low risk, short duration asbestos removal and disposal tasks following HSE’s Asbestos Essentials task sheets.
