HSG 76 (para 644) states that employees should receive training, information, and instruction on the safe operation of the racking system, including the parts affecting their safety and the safety of others. Storage racking should be properly maintained, correctly labelled and in good order.
Safe racking awareness and inspections are required to prevent and minimise the effects of accidents, to comply with the requirements of PUWER 1998 and to promote safety in the workplace. Racking Inspection Training is a half day course that will provide your staff with advice and guidance to enable them to carry out basic rack inspections. The course also offers advice on conducting risk assessments and how to comply with the law.
